NEW to us) Fishing Panga for Juan in Asuncion
Juan is a happy fisherman as he just picked up his new bigger panga...it has more freeboard and is wider to accomodate 3 big guys fishing offshore
even in a wind they will stay dry...or the whole Clampett family aboard to see the sea lions at the island. We go to get the sister panga this
weekend to complete our little panga familia.

Shari, what have you done with the original Panga and trailer? The one I fished on.
Will you now have a fleet?
Your new boat is a big beauty, looks solid.

Isn't that backwards? Shouldn't your depth exceed your draft?

Why do I have a vision of Charlton Heston in Asuncion? (But it totally fits!)
Congrats on the 'new' boat!

Renaming your boat will bring nothing but bad luck
Renaming a boat is not something to be done lightly.
Since the beginning of time, unlucky ships are the ones that changed their names.
According to legend, each and every vessel is recorded by name in the Ledger of the Deep and is known personally to the god of the sea.
Therefore, if we wish to change the name a boat,
the first thing we must do is to purge its name from the Ledger of the Deep.
This is an involved process beginning with the removal of every trace of the boat's current identity.
This part is essential and must be done thoroughly.
In purging your boat, it is acceptable to use White-Out or some similar obliterating fluid to expunge the boat's name from log books
but
it is much easier to simply remove the offending document from the boat and start afresh.
Do not under any circumstances carry aboard any item bearing your boat's new name until the purging and renaming ceremonies have been completed!
Once you are certain every reference to her old name has been removed from her, all that is left to do is to prepare a metal tag with the old name
written on it in water-soluble ink.
Chant a Chant….
Now…the metal tag is dropped from the bow of the boat into the sea.
Now do a rename ceremony
this is the source for this info..

Got your U2U Shari, thanks for the info.
$2000 is a good deal for your boat, run an ad here, it'll go bye bye.
A lot of Nomads have been on that boat, it's in very good condition.
There ya go, your first plug.
Haven't had a bad trip yet....
