Looking for a ride-- Heading to/from Central Baja

Hola Amigos-- Myself and a friend have decided to travel in Baja for a week. We are going to be backpacking/camping in Baja. Being poor graduate students we are posting to see if we could hook-up with anyone traveling. We are interested in going to Guerrero Negro/ San Ignacio area to see the whales and then head to Bahia Concepcion area for camping. We are both adventurous and open minded-- we are excited to explore Baja. We are going to cross over on Dec. 28/29 at San Yisdro. If you are traveling in our direction and would like some great company give us a buzz! Probably start heading back north on Jan. 4/5.

You guys pitching in for fuel or looking for a freebee? I might be persuaded. I could go and visit Juan and Sheri in B. Asuncion. Are your dates flexible at all? I couldn't cross until. Sat. Dec 30. past noon. That will get us to San Quintin the 1st day and GN the next. I'm not camping. Hotels are $25/night, cheaper if you are spliting it. I gotta have my own room.
I don't want to go to B. Conception.
This is only a maybe!

Thanks for the offer, but it seems like it wouldn't fit either of our two plans well. I hope you get to go and travel anyway!

In general for anyone else reading the thread:

We can help chip in for gas.
We prefer camping over hotels as we wish to experience the more "natural" aspects of Baja.
Dates and locations are semi-flexible. If you are going to some awesome beaches or natural areas we are interested.
We are interested in going to a good location to see the grey whales.

Driving North 1/5 and 1/6

I am flying down tomorrow (12/27) to Loreto, but...

Driving back North from Loreto to San Diego on 1/5 and 1/6, overnighting in San Quintin, where I've already reserved a room.

If you'd like a lift, please U2U (private mail) me. I will be checking my email and this board in Loreto...

Have a fun adventure.

Ha ha, okay. But I would say that was as close to a chauffeured ride as you were gonna get. But I think I'll jump on a jet and zoom to Zwhat. It's much warmer.
Oh and by "natural" if you mean freezing your *** off camping at night, ya it will be plenty "natural".
Good luck!
