Gets dark (and cold) early up in those northern climes. As a Boise resident (former and currently legal), I can't remember it being nearly as noisy there as it is here in La Paz on New Year's Eve this early. I can recall the the firecrackers and gunshots going off at midnight and waking me up, but here in La Paz, they are keeping my up right now. I'm through a bottle and a half of cheap Malbec after a BBQ pork roast so that status may soon change as I am getting very mellow.

Happy New Year to all.
