Question for Vegas Nomads

Live in Loreto. Have to be in the States for several reasons around April. ( purchase a newer car and dealing with some government issues, among things ). Like to stay for several weeks to a month and am interested in a rental. Going through a vacation rental agency is outrageously expensive.
Maybe interested in a house swap, but prefer a rental.
Any help would be appreciated from those Nomads that live in the Vegas area.

Hi Vandenberg,

I live in Vegas, Henderson to be accurate. And hello to everyone. I'm sorry for lurking so long without introducing myself. This site has been in incredible source of information during our search for a condo in Rosarito. I'd be happy to help you Vandenberg. Let me know what I can do.

I started to post some comments about the AP Article but got interrupted. My wife & I were in our condo in Rosarito through New years and had a fantastic time. To all that are questioning whether to travel to Baja, Ya otta read the Vegas paper on a daily basis. I'll go into more detail in the appropriate threads.

Thanks again for a great site

Danny

Hello and welcome to the board.
Like to know what money I'm looking at renting an apartment or condo in the area. Renting one on a regular basis is out of the question, since then deposits and cleaning fees come into play. So, has to be someone being gone for a stretch and is willing to let his place for some time, either for safety reasons or some extra income.
Only 2 of us. Will leave the place in equal or better condition then we find it. I'm 72 and my oats sewing days are long over, so no wild parties. Promise in advance :biggrin:

Don't know if this will help, but at least you will be dealing with owners of the property if you find something you like. We've used the website before with good results. http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/usa/nevada

This site will give you some idea of what people are paying for hotel rooms thru Priceline: http://p198.ezboard.com/bpricelineandexpediabidding

BMG has a great suggestion. I'll be happy to do some leg work for you Vandenberg but check out vrbo.com I know the site well as I have a ski condo listed on the site in southern Utah. http://www.vrbo.com/31468
Another option is budget suites. They rent by the week and month.

My travels take me to Las Vegas on a regular basis. Let me know your status and we can get together for dinner.

Thanks guys.
If you can think of any more information, please keep it coming. Budget suites seems like a cheap way to go, but gets awful close to staying in a motel, something we try to shy away from.
Maybe setting my standards too high.:(
