Whistler,

I have a 2005 Xterra and the rear axle ratio is 3.538:1.

Hope that helps.

whistler------

I just checked my owners manual and you know, it just does not say what the diff. gear ratio is, nor does any of the other paper-work that I have, that I can find.

Mine is the 2007 "off road" model. I have the 5-speed Auto tranny, and I can tell you when in "low range" it appears to be really low geared, with tons of torque and power, and a great "crawl speed".

I am betting that a call to your local Nissan dealer, the parts dept., can tell you what the diff ratio is.
