Package to Pescadero?

Has anyone sent a package south? I'm thinking of using one of the busses from TJ to send a small suitcase down to my stepsons in Pescadero. We didn't get to see them this Christmas so have some winterish clothes that I'd like to get to them before it gets too warm.

My truck-driving brother-in-law is now working with a local La Paz company so not making his weekly trips to TJ.

I'm thinking we can get the bag to the terminal in TJ, but am wondering about the price (by weight, size?), also the security of doing this. Any experience? Thanks, Heather

Heather,

Someone just sent a package to me from Cabo San Lucas and said to pick it up at the bus station.... it turns out it was actually handled by the bus companies official service called Baja Pack Express.... I have a web address and you can check it out.... www.bajapack-express.com.mx It arrived in a timely manner and they seemed to be tracking everything with a computer and a waybill number . They appear to have five pickup locations in TJ including the airport and one at Otay mesa.

Good Luck,

CaboRon

Heather - trust all is well with you and yours ..

BajaPack is great. You have enough experience to allow for quirks and bumps in the road but they are definitely dependable.

Lock (tape all the way around is sufficient) and mark with your nephews information. Include telephone number/s & put same info inside.

Charges are by weight.

Hope this helps! Lori

Thanks Lori and Shari, will have my hubby take a trip to TJ this weekend and see if he can get this stuff sent. I was thinking to put it in a suitcase, but maybe a big box will work, easier to tape, etc. I'll send down the long pants and long sleeve shirts, but since it's by weight maybe will hold off on the shoes till we see them this summer.

Things are going well here, Lori. My Cabo-transplanted husband has finally found a good, steady, well-paying job in the US. He's actually working for the US government, welding on military ships. He traded in his fishing pole for a welding torch, but still can't give up the boats!
My daughters wanted fishing poles for Christmas so they could go fishing with daddy. Fine with me, I get my house to myself on Sunday afternoons!!

Saludos a todos, Heather.
