Buffalo BBQ - La Paz

This has been one of my favorite places. I do like their beef rib dinner and Ana likes the babybacks. Took some friends there the other night and was definitely not impressed this time.

First off - no ribs. Not too big a deal since I've been wanting to try one of their hamburgers anyway. Three of us ordered hamburgers and Ana ordered the giant shrimp. The hamburgers were M$95 and the Kobe burger was M$15. We couldn't taste any difference in the meat when compared to each other so we're not even sure it was any different. They were all good though, just not worth 9 bucks US.

Ana's shrimp was way too salty and garlicky. The veggies were way over done and eveything was floating in a pool of butter. Rather expensive here too at M$200 and probably not the best thing to order in a bbq meat joint.

On a positive note, they still have the best flan that I have ever had.

Decided to go again a few nights ago

It was really good this time. They had both the beef rib and the babyback ribs. This is the only place I've ever eaten at where I prefer the beef rib over the pork ribs. (And rib is right, only one big beef rib will fill you up.)

I do need to report that I now think Ana makes the best flan ever even though the Buffalo BBQ flan is outstanding. (Yes, this is a blatant hint posted for linguinelinguine.)

They also painted their back courtyard. Looks great. Can you find the dolphin? Not sure what the pink cowboy boots with the hearts are all about.

A little closer inspection might give a hint as to why the pink boots.
