The attached is a picture from the web cam on the mountain taken at 9:00am today, after yesterdays big storm.

You would be looking roughly southeast(probably more ESE this time of the year), if the photo was taken at 9:00 am.

Sun rises in the east; thus the shadows cast from the trees would be on the west side of the trees in the morning.

Gadget....

The lack of spike marks, discarded beer cans and large unrepaired divots... obviously not golfers... snow on ground golfers don't leave the 19th Hole!!!

It is not ALWAYS surfers... sometimes they are still in rehab.....

The web cam is mounted on the biggest observatory, on the south side... You can see it on the railing in BajaCat's photo... When showing the road and trees (as in the pictures above), the camera is facing west-southwest. When it is pointed the other direction (East-southeast), you see Diablo mountain.
