insurance?

Hi all,
long time listener (lurker), First time caller, Wife and I are heading down down to SI and Loreto for 3 weeks starting the 28th of Feb. I have been looking for car insurance and it is a bit all over the board - I have always used Lewis and Lewis when I have come down before - never had to use it....... I see a LOT of others on the 'net and wonder if anyone hs experience - how about bajabound, Discover Baja or DriveMex - DriveMex looks good, lots of goodies in it - but is it really that good?? thanks for the info! dave in oregon

Do you want an annual policy or a 3 week one? An annual will be about the same price as one three weeks, so compare.

I have used Bajabound.com for daily policies many times...

I now have Discover Baja for an annual policy, I was already a club member for the othere benefits and newsletter.

Many swear by Lewis & Lewis... You can compare rates online or by phone with all three of the above.

We will be renting a car from Hertz in Loreto next week. We thought we could get insurance from them. Is that correct? Do we need to care about the other types of insurance that are mentioned on this board.
