Suspicious email

There was an email in my Prodigy box which I did not open because it seemed improbable. Subject was that Televisa had been ordered to shut down because of monopoly practices. I checked the Televisa news, and other known sources which did not have such a report. I would recommend not opening that email if you get one until other sources confirm the news. The email was supposed to come from el Universal but a check of that site had no such news.

Amen to That.

I receive an average of 150 bogus e-mails at one location, 50 or so at another and 25-30 at a third. My wife receives around 100 at one of her's. Every sort of scam imaginable. Not only do I never download or open attachments, I don't even download those bogus e-mails. I go direct to the webmail site and knock them off 250 to a page.

I always tell my friends to whom I give a different address to send me a text e-mail BEFORE sending any attachment that I might want to see. Otherwise, it goes into the trash.
