Haven't yet addressed how to post multiple pictures in one post, so here goes several...

... and the surf that day. Whales were body surfing just a few yards from the shore. The spray is not good for the lens, though:rolleyes:

WOW - thanks for the pics. We were there for lunch on Feb 19th. We couldn't believe the number of whales so close to shore. Threre must have been about 10 (moms and babes) right in the surf line. Spyhopping, rolling over, generally having fun. Of course, I didn't have a camera that day. So thanks for your photos. Now I can show them to friends who thought I was exaggerating.

Dana

The shot of the wave rolling in is excellent, nice timing on the break!

Beautiful. Thanks. We were just there and also could not get over how many whales were so close to shore. We hung out by the lighthouse past Punta Lobos and enjoyed the show one day, they seem so at ease, exactly how I feel when I'm at home in TS.
