Biggest fiasco?

For me, is the fact that no license plates are available in BCS, my trip to transito last week yielded only a receipt for $0 pesos to take on my trip to the states later this month, expired plates and a blank receipt don't make for very good documentation.

What a pain.

Maybe you could go back to transito and ask for someone to write you a short note saying no plates are available on the back of your receipt for 0 pesos. I can imagine you getting stopped a ton of times without the plates in any case, but maybe that would help grease the wheels when you do. Good luck. - Stephanie

I'd just keep a copy of the Gringo Gazette with me that shows the issue is in the news about not having any placas...
