Hooked a bit rock fish, eh ?? Bummer ?
I wonder if it was at the same rock head near San Pablo that claimed my favorite jig ?

I'm pretty sure that all their blanks/rods have a lifetime warranty.

I bought a couple at Hook, Line, and Sinker in Shelter Island, SD. Busted the rod tip on one light-weight in a fast-closing door...my fault completely. The store/supplier made good on it, although I was expecting to pay. I have since went out of my way to buy supplies from that store.

I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

I got the same story from the store and Seeker: they will replace it for $65 (I presume this is their cost on a $199 rod). I will try a little harder when I go to the store tomorrow.

Edit: heard from Jim at Seeker and after I ship the rod to them they will be able to tell if it's a manufacturing defect or not. If so - they will replace it for free. If it's a ding caused by transport, a weight or similar then a flat $60 charge. Will report on final outcome.

Update: Seeker called and will replace the rod for $60 - no evidence of a defect in the rod - just the user I guess.:lol:
