Pico Diablo

Some friends and I are planning to climb Pico Diablo and we are wondering where to park a truck and how safe is it to leave the truck for two days. We will climb from the west side. Any opinions?? Thanks

Read past posts on the Baja Hiking and Backpacking forum here at Nomad... Read about BajaAndy's climb, etc. If you are doing it from the west side, then your truck would be in the National Park San Pedro Martir. Talk with the rangers at the entrance gate, and they will be able to help.

Read Graham Mackintosh's book 'Nearer My Dog to Thee', when he spent the summer living in a tent near the western approach for Diablo: http://grahammackintosh.com
