Escondido help.

Need to make a short trip north to Soc. Sec office in Escondido. Trying to make reservations for 4 days for 2 with small dog. Not much luck unless willing to shell out $30 a night extra, non refundable, for little dog.
Could anybody in the area give me any advice.
This is a must trip ,not exactly pleasure.

Motel 6 allows small pets - no charge.

The Quality Inn in Carlsbad is very dog friendly as are several other hotels in that area. I will look for the list I was traveling with and get you the numbers.
La Quinta hotels usually take dogs too.

Super 8 hotels are usually pet-friendly as well.

Thanks folks,
Have it resolved. Best Value Inn allowed small dogs with a deposit. I know Motel 6 does, but I'm not too fond of their places, although they do in a pinch or for just overnight.
Also need a little security since my better half will manage to load our car to the roof during our short stay with "necessary :P:P" items.:no:

Dennis,
Did the pet friendly hotel/motel bit. Highly inaccurate to say the least. That's where I also got the "pet friendly" motel with the $30.00 surcharge per dog. Rodeway Inn, BTW, for those interested.

Ed.....

Pet Friendly and Dog Friendly are different places. I've had better luck with Dog Friendly.

Ed
guess you dont need this but maybe someone else will. Carlsbad is the most pet friendly town on I-5

Quality Inn 760-931-1185 ask for Joe
Motel 6 760-431-0745 this is a newer Motel 6 and looks well maintained from the outside

I have more but these are right on the interstate, right next to each other. But these are the only ones I am familiar with.
