Our dear friend Manolo in serious accident

For those of you who have shared our family gatherings in Asuncion...our "chef" Manolo was in a serious accident near Vizcaino this morning and is fighting for his life at his moment. I ask you all to send some healing energy his way and pray to your personal great spirits for his survival. His son Ismael and our nephew Noe were also in the vehicle but are very banged up but OK. Manolo is a dedicated father, wonderful friend and loyal church member...fantastic electrician and plumber here...loved by the whole village...he was flown to La Paz a couple hours ago...so join us in praying for his life...thanks amigos

Shari,

We are just sick hearing this news. He really is such good person. Our thoughts are with him and his family. We will definitely keep positive thoughts for a full recovery.

Really sad news.
I've met Manolo a few times; a very nice man.
Our thoughts are with him.
And SOOO glad that the kids are OK.

Manolo is a very generous and kind person. He has done a number of things for us around our casita but more importantly he's been our friend. We visited with Manolo, Mimi, and his son Isamael a few weeks ago. They stopped by our place to see if we were happy with the electrical work he had done and also to give us some abalone.

Tracy and I are pulling for Manolo. And Shari, please let us know if we can do anything financially to help out.

Zac

Shari, we think positive thoughts and many prayers for Manolo's recovery. I'm sorry to hear this bad news, but with all the Nomads pulling through - what more could you ask for.

Manolo and family are good friends and part of our family down there for Christmas and New Years celebrations. We are all praying for him. I don't ever remember him not having a smile on his face and good things to say, nor Mimi, Noe, or Ismael. Truly a wonderful family.
I am reminded of the number of times that we stumbled through with my bad Spanish trying to get the work on the house done, laughing all the time In January we especially had fun with the installation of the UV system wiring and plumbing. His Octopus is to die for too.
Shari, let me know if we can help out any way. Can we send something to the hospital? I will U2u.

OH and I almost forgot, just another reason to remember that driving in Baja can be dangerous. Another reason to slow down when you are down there and smell the desert flowers. This reemphasises that Shari is right all the time when she tells us to drive carefully. Its too risky down there to drive super fast. So for you Nomads, and you know who you are, slow down and keep your families safe.
