Don't no about the tobacco, but the booze I would say take as much as you want .I have been going to Mexico for 30 years and have never been stopped at
the border (going into Mexico) they just wave us through.I'm sure if you tried to take a semi load .across they might be a little tougher.

I think it's the same limits going both directions. There's always room for a bit of error on your part like, how much can you stuff into different
places.
OK...Call me a smuggler. I'm far from alone on this issue.

We always bring a few cases of good wine down with us (one of our important Baja survival items). I know that we could have the wine taken away, but
it is worth the chance.
What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

Oops, I missed the "into" Mexico.
We've never been questioned about up to a case of wine tucked amongst the towels and soft clothing in our camper.

As much booze as I can fit into several 1-liter plastic bottles that are awaiting the recycling bin so there is no breakage on the rough road in....
I had not heard that there was a limit going in to Mexico.
I used to buy in Mexico, but now many of the brands I like are much cheaper in the U.S. Heck, even Tecate is cheaper in the U.S., especially when
purchased in the 30-pack.

I buy my cigars online - Dominicans, Honduras, etc.... but, you can buy fake or real Cubans while there - just to pricey and not as good. I don't
know the limits on cigars, but I always bring a dozen or so that I purchased on the interenet with me - never a problem. This is for a trip of a
couple of weeks.

I have to take exception to the concept of a GOOD cigar. This is especially true if one is non-addicted and anywhere close to, or down wind from, one
that is on fire.
It doesn't seem fair. I guess the cancer is the pay-back.
Leave the tobacco in the states, and use the opportunity to get clean. Although, I'll bet most addicts would smoke Mexican coffin nails when the
withdrawal symptoms hit.
