Very nice image, Ken... perfect for b&w.
These lovely vultures were warming their wings early one morning in anticipation of a double mule road kill lying just across the way.

Jake's Place - vulture decor
My dear departed amigo, Jake, had this home just above me at Coyote Bay. Now amigo Steve calls it home.
There was, and is, always a Hello-vulture sitting on that cactus.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

Oh my goodness Tom.... were you in the nest with that vulture?
Excellent photo, amigo, just excellent.
And Roger - wish I had a vulture greeting me hello each morning.
Like Graham on the island, I have only ravens to join me for morning tea.

Question: Do vultures have nests? I do not recall ever seeing one in/near a nest.

Too bad that they are maligned so often being compared to lawyers.

Apparently not.
I never knew either.

Turkey Vultures nest in rock crevices, hollow trees, caves, fallen hollow logs, or ledges. They don't build nests; they just lay their eggs on the
ground. These birds lay two whitish eggs with dark brown markings. Young vultures are able to leave the nest about 10 weeks after hatching.

Well thank you, Taco.
Interesting... gulls and cormorants also nest that way.

Wonderful vulture pictures.
Spotted this one at the bar of Villa Bahia in LA Bay. Hoping to join him in a couple of days.
