"discount" airfare to La Paz??

Amigos,

Would you consider $508 round trip a "discount airfare" from LAX to La Paz? I received an Alaska internet special that must be booked by tomorrow, and when all is said and done, this is what the "discounted" rate is.... I'm just wondering if I should book this now with the deadline being tomorrow, or if I wait, how much higher could it go????? I know fares have gone up, but holy moly!

what?

I just went to Alaska Airlines, put in LAX to La Paz, and the airfare was 339US INCLUDING taxes. I don't know what dates you are looking at, I just put in a late April/mid May timeframe.

reality\'s never been of much use out here...

A simple answer to your question would be NO. As someone else mentioned, I too use kayak.com and get daily fare alerts LAX - LAP. Depending on travel dates the typical fare is currently $338 R/T.
