Baja Dogs

Seems to me that everyone has a dog or two (or more) in Baja. A great many are rescued dogs, which is so wonderful. Ours is not. He is such a handful that I really don't think we need more than one...Arturo...plus, he has a little brain damage. This gives him a very curious gait, as he has little control over his backend, but his front end doesn't know about it. Here he is after one of those rainstorms this last winter in Mulege....So this one is my "Dirty Dog" photo.

Would just love to see some Baja dog photos. How about it?

Libbie is SO cute! Are you down there all year, or part of the time with her? We are shooting for half a year in Sequim, WA at our lavender farm, and the other part of the year at our house in Mulege

Beachgirl.....looks are deceiving. behind that cute face lurks the brain of a Lab.

When in Baja, Libbie likes to hang at the Baja Country Club in Ensenada and also with her friends, Barney, Sadie and Lucy out Punta Banda way. She is also a fan of bajabound2005's cooking talents!!!!

Fun subject! I've posted photos of my Baja dog Ham before, but for fun here are a few more... Ham will be 10 this year. She was a street pup in Bahia de los Angeles before I 'adopted' her. She must have been only 8 - 10 weeks old then, starving and eating lizard bones and dead fish on the beach with her mom and sisters.

Here's Ham in 1998 at the turtle tanks (Campo Archelon) in Bahia de los Angeles:

great pix everyone. I wish I had a dog.

Gringorio,
I guess that's not the salt flats of Scammons Lagoon?
Good vibes to you for giving her a good dogs life.

I am having such a good time with all these photos! Please...more! Can't say enough about it...Artie is my first dog. What an experience! How expressive, sensitive, stubborn, adorable...well...you know. My "Dirty Dog" photo was taken just after we bought our house in Mulege, and before we managed to score a full roll of chicken wire. The wrought iron fencing is just wide enough for Artie to otherwise jam right through and in between, chasing anything from birds to other dogs. 85% of all Jack Russells die unnatural deaths. Just too curious. So in the photo he is tied to a rope. Now he has full run of the joint and loves every minute. We have been watching the Dog Whisperer to try and train ourselves...not Artie. Isn't that the trick? Train the humans, not the dog!

They like any beach in Baja

They like to collect things on the beach

They love running in Baja

And relaxing at the end of the day.

Marie-Rose, have you tried posting pictures using another place like photobucket? I find it much easier.
