Lost dog in Todos Santos

Hello,

We recently stayed at The Hotelito in Todos Santos and fell in love with the owner's dogs, who accompanied us to the beach every day. Upon returning home this week we learned that one of them, Benito, went missing Wednesday night. We are so sad, as he's such a lovable character. The owner has put a posting in The Onion, but I thought it might not hurt to keep spreading the word. Here's the information:

Small White Dog Lost In La Cachora - He disappeared Wednesday evening. Small white dog answers to Ben or Benito. No collar on as he had just had a bath unfortunately. Please call 612 145 0099. Reward offered - Jenny Armit, jennyarmit@mac.com, 612 1450099, Todos Santos

Thank you so much!

I'm so glad everyone's on the lookout. We were tempted to hop on the plane and head back to join the search. Jenny and her dogs were so good to us; Benito came by our room every day to check on us. We heard about what happened to the other dog--so sad.

Oddly, one day when we took the dogs to the beach, a Mexican family drove by in their car, stopped, opened their door and tried to lure him to them, in front of us. I really couldn't understand what they were saying, but they were laughing and seemed so amused by him. We scooted him down the road. In hindsight, I can't stop thinking about that, because it was a little strange. I hope he's out living it up for a brief bit and hasn't been re-adopted . . .

Jenny's promised to keep us posted; we're praying for happy news.

Dear Newbie, "bumpito" means "little bump." When a message is fading off the board, and you think it shouldn't, you give it a "bump," i.e., you send it back to the top so that it can be viewed for a longer period of time.

I thought this message deserved more attention. My personal opinion. Sorry if I offended you, but let me welcome you to the board anyway.

Oh, thank goodness. I thought you might have been alluding to the fact that Benito may have become a little bump in the road. I was aghast.

Thank you for elevating the message. We are so hopeful Jenny finds him.

That's probably our fault too. When we were over there saving them in the 50s, we should have opened a few McDonalds with bowser free menus.
