San Quintin Motocross

I know a few in here are motorcycle guys but I think desert riders. Is there any motocrossers out there?
I have an 06 Honda Crf450r and race actively here in Socal with VetX.
You may have seen the sign for the track when you pass through town. I finally drove over to it. It's on Rancho Avina and looks good. I talked to Avina a little but I don't think he is aware of any language but spanish so I'm not sure if he understood my signing that I wanted to ride his track.
Does anyone know anything about the track or have any interest in riding there?

I use to race Old Timers MX until 1992. Now I sometimes ride a track if it's open to do so but no racing MX anymore. At 63 I'll leave it to the under 50 crowd. It's a great workout. I don't know anything about a track in San Quintin but if there is racing there I'd love to got see the races when in the area.

They hold a big race there at least once a year. Last year it was July 15.
All my info that I can find online is a year old. I'll try and make contact with last years race promoter and see if he knows what's up for this year.
I'm thinking maybe we can get a private rental and have it groomed and watered just right.
I think Senior Avina said it was $2 to ride there so maybe a group of 10-20 guy could rent it for $100/day including a water truck and tracktor.
The track is near Jardines so I'd stay there and maybe even ride my bike from there. Have a truck bring our fuel and coolers.
No racing just good clean fun riding. Maybe a little moto here and there but friendly.

This sounds real cool. Do you have any pictures of the track ? I would tie it in with a couple days of fishing as well. Keep us updated with any new info..

No, but if you are familiar with Racetown, or Lake Elsinore it's a flat field with big table tops and small doubles. Realy good dirt. I'll try and get pics.
But ya, fishing is the obvious tie-in. You could ride to the Old Mill from the track!
