Misplaced apostrophes make me a little crazy...but then, my daughter claims that there is a little obsessive compulsive personality disorder working
there...the so-and-so see your u2u is just plain inexplicable!

And another thing..... When posters, while discussing money matters in Mexico pertinent to expats and visitors, use the "$" without specifying
dollars or pesos. U.S. newspapers are particularly guilty of this.
Anyway, that's all I have at the moment.

There are two behaviors that puzzle and irritate me about the way folks use Baja Nomad. Amazingly enough, it's not the rudeness, etc. that some
members complain about.
1) "SO AND SO PLEASE READ MY U2U" posted in the public forum. Uhh, people-- there is a notice up in the right hand corner of every page when one has
a U2U waiting. Plus, you can have the system email you immediately when you get a new U2U. Is it really necessary to clutter up the public forum
with this sort of inept silliness?
2) The apostrophe. For tho'se who don't know when to u'se it, you'd be a lot better off ju'st omitting it completely from your writing. Chance's are
you'd make fewer error's.
That's my rant for this year.
Thanks for listening-- Larry |
Sorry: On the U2U, I truly did not know this irritated people. I have done this since I became a Nomad because I saw others do it and thought it
was the norm. I will not be doing that again.
Seriously, how about a list of protocol and don't mess with us!
Thank you.

FYI
The U2U notification in the upper right corner only shows if you are Logged In.
Many people are not aware of all the little features here including the auto-notification. I don't know how that little fish swims back & forth
at the bottom of your posts!

Lencho
I did a search and came up blank, so for historical perspective on this annual event could you refresh our memories about preceding rants?

I think we should declare April 27 as Nomad Rant day-- it has great potential for stress relief and entertainment.
I nominate Lencho as Master of Ceremonies
