Todos Santos Fedex/DHL??
I need to get a small package mailed from my son in Pescadero (Todos Santos) area to me in San Diego. Is there a way to do this? Cost, etc.? If no
service there is there service from Cabo or La Paz? Having read some of your stories, I'd rather not use DHL, but is there a choice? thanks, Heather

Not to hijack this thread too far off course, but as I was standing in the US Post office the other day, I saw a sign advertising US International
Express mail with a 2 day delivery. Has anyone used this to send mail/documents to Mexico/Baja????

Yes....my mother sends me "care packages" every couple months, it is spendy, but it's tracked & I have to sign for it on this
end, so the reliability of delivery is much greater!! I didn't receive all the packages sent regular mail, I HAVE received all the International
express packages, but as far as I've been able to tell, 5 days was BEST delivery time (ONCE!) & 3 weeks was worst; 2-3 weeks is most common! The
USPS has good intentions, but once it hits the Mexican Postal System, all bets are off! They don't care that the USPS promised fast delivery!

Heather,
Don't know if they accept packages .... but, I mail my american stamped letters at the Hotel California, then when someone trusted goes to the
states the mail is dropped in a USPS postal box.
It has been working well,

DHL seems dependable from the USA to Cabo and other southern Baja cities from our experience. Tracking number and a will-call feature upon arrival.
I have heard no complaints from the people to whom we have shipped small packages, manila envelopes, etc.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

I agree with Pompano. I have used DHL from Cabo to the US several times over the years with no problems.

photos TS?
So, a couple of things. At the Hotel California, CaboRon, would they need to have US stamps on the mail, or are they available there?
Again, is there DSL service from Todos Santos?
Does anyone know a place in Todos Santos that takes photos for passports/visas?
I'm trying to get US visas for my step-sons, and it is a big hassle. The boys have been doing pretty good getting their passports, birth
certificates, vaccinations, etc., but now, I've been informed that they need to send this stuff to the immigration office in New Hampshire before we
can get an appointment in Ciudad Juarez to find out if they'll get the visas. It's frustrating because the prior info I'd received was that they just
needed to have their stuff together and bring it with them for the visa appt. The most recent info. I received was that we need to send the original
birth certificate, a copy of the passport, and photos to N.H. before they will be given an appt. I was hoping to get this done over summer vacation,
but now, who knows! UGH!
My hubby has informed me that his brother has started driving a truck up to TJ from La Paz again, so hopefully he can bring the needed papers with
him. Although mailed from TS would be easier!
Thanks for all the info. Lori, I'll drop you a note, and see what ideas you have. Much appreciated. Heather
