I can't help on the story of the 'Old Man' dance, but we did watch it last year during one of the festivals in La Paz. I made short video of it on my camera and uploaded it to YouTube. It went on much longer than what I filmed.

The reason for the guy on the bottle in his dance outfit is that he is a Tarascan from the state of Michoacan. What you have in the bottle is charanda...a cane liquor also indigenous to Michoacan, and similar to rum. Charandas run the gamut in quality!!!!

Bob, this is definately not safe and has to be disposed of by a HAZ-Mat officer, of which I am the only designated official disposal site in all of Baja. Please do not open, please do not store where children can find this, and probably keep it under lock and key until I can get down there. I am leaving right now, and trust me.
