Tecate Hotels?

I need to have a backup plan for my Canon de Guadalupe trip in case the heat is unbearable. Our group will be travelling with two kids ages 2 & 6 and I can see if it gets too hot the parents will want to leave.

Does anybody have a recommendation for a nice hotel with pool in Tecate? If it gets to hot we can just chill out there.

I wanted to spend the night in Tecate a few years back and searched out a couple of the newer ones but, after checking the prices, I crossed the border and went to Chula Vista. Stock motel, no pool, single, 80 bucks per night.
Anyway, if you want to look into it, the motel district is on the north/south main drag near the brewery. I don't know the name of the street but, it's an even bet it's Benito Juarez.

About 20 miles east of Tecate near El Hongo is a Bullfighting School turned into a "resort" called Hacienda Santa Veronica. The rooms are clean, reasonably priced. They have a restaurant, bar, video game room and a pool. They rent bicycles, dirt bikes and Quads. You do have to drive down a well maintained dirt road for about 10 miles though. The phone # 52 665 653 4705.
