San Francisquito Update
I just returned from PSF yesterday and had some info that I thought I would pass on. I talked with Juan about what was going on with all the rumors of
closing and he said that they are still in full operation. I was concerned because of the locker situation where supposedly everyone was told to empty
their lockers. According to Juan, this is not the case. I, in fact, just paid for another year I hope everything works out there in the future.... Anyone with a locker down there should probably get down there
and check on your things just to be safe. The building with the small lockers with the center hallway is in pretty bad shape. Some of the people I
know that have the 2 houses at the south end of the beach that are on PSF property have to be out by the end of the month. I heard that the new owners
want to have these for larger groups for rentals - this is not confirmed, just rumor at this point. Other than that - fishing was slow and the water
still really cold. Should warm up soon and the bite should turn on in a couple weeks. We only caught 2 yellows and there was tons of squid everywhere.
Going back in a couple weeks.....

Great to hear that Juan is still there and it is in full operation. Have the concentrations of bait reached the area yet? Which way did you go in
(or did you fly) and how were the road conditions? I just had to cancel a trip into there at the beginning of June, but it sounds like I would have
been too early for the yellowtail run.

I drove in from the north (LA Bay) and the road is in great shape. Tons of bait in the water, but water still really cold. I hopped in for a while
with the speargun (no wetsuit) and started to get dizzy after a few minutes....Buuurrrrrrr!!! Should be going off soon with the yellows - I'm going
back in about 2-3 weeks. Let me see if I can get a picture attached - I couldn't earlier for some reason? If this picture makes it, it is a buddy with his 1st yellow!

Just got back from Squito the other day. The fish are finally biting better than a few weeks ago. The north road from LA Bay is in great shape. Here
are some pics......

Those are some insane yellows! That is driving me crazy!
I am thinking Bola on the 4th but I'm hoping San Quintin's bite will start so I don't need to drive to Bola.
But now I want to go to SFQ.
This is serious! I might need to ditch work for a few days.

Shari - The fish were all caught on lures. Live bait not needed, but would have been nice when the yellows did not want the lures which happened about
50% of the time. Negative on Bill Rush....
