NBC on border and drug violence

NBC evening news just finished a graphic piece on the current situation along the border.

Mentioned that a $1.5 billion package is being processed in our Congress to fight the battle.

And then blamed it all on the US drug consumers and weapons dealers who finance and supply the battle.

Unfortunately, it will be drowned out by the rest of the "media" who needs to sell their product while exploiting the racial biases of ignorant Americans who want to blame anyone of color or different nationality for the drug problem in the US.

I'd like to see us help Mexico secure it's border first. If the southbound flow of cash and guns is that huge of a problem- why not put the Mexican Army checkpoint there and inspect every southbound vehicle? Why the free pass?

Most contraband, like cash and guns, is just driven across into Mexico. Put the Mexican Army at the major highway ports of entry and push arms dealers to use the same routes used northbound for human/drug smuggling. Those routes are already monitored by the U.S. Border Patrol and electronically. Of course there are likely a few tunnels still out there.

That is part of the problem, for sure. Part of it...not all of it.
Who financed this report? The Mexican government? It's like blameing violent, fundamentalist Islam on Christianity.
