He quit. Too many animals in this zoo - a thankless task, watching over all of us.
I think he did an excellent job as moderator and that he deserves a big thank you for timed served.

He gets a big THANKS from me. Always treated me more than fair, even when at my worst.
Besides that, I know him and he's just a good guy. I hope he doesn't leave completely. I think he owes a few pay-backs around here.

Natalie I am sure you thanked him enough for all of us. I did not start this thread to see how many medals we could pin on Hose A, I just wanted to
know what happened to him.

WOW, I didn't realize he had stopped moderating.
Hose A did a GREAT job as has Doug !
I think we are an odd group with over-average intelligence and an independence and adventurous nature that bonds us to Baja; varied in our life's
experiences, political and environmental views, we are no picnic to monitor !!
Thank you Hose A for a wonderful job ! (I hope you'll continue).
But if not, I hope Doug can find a monitor that is near as good !
I have noticed a decline in posts from Hose A since he began monitoring and hope that he will return as a more frequent poster again.

What Natalie Ann said! And more.... Hose A volunteered and
IMO, he did an amazing job of following a lot of people around cleaning up after them....kinda like the guy walking behind the elephants in a parade
with a BIG SHOVEL!!!
I'm actually amazed it took many people so long to miss his presence....I found out well after the fact that he'd sent his letter of resignation to
Doug June 13th....but I figured out he was gone before because of the sudden increase in violations of posted Board Rules which were left in place.
I'm not sure who is acting as Mod at the present, but IMO, Hose A dedicated more time to it, so a lot of offensive stuff was removed before many
people saw it & had a chance to hit the Report Button; he took a lot of flack for all his efforts to keep this site a wholesome, pleasant &
informative place....which I imagine was Doug's dream when he started it.
I really miss his efforts & his humor, in performing such a huge & thankless task!! I don't think the question should be "Where is Hose A?",
but rather why were we lucky enough to have had him for as long as we did before he got fed up & resigned!!
I fully understand that MY thoughts & feelings are in the minority in some circles, but they are after all MINE, and I've voiced
them. Now going back to mourning the loss of Hose A!
Doug, I know it's YOUR site, and I respect that, but I also believe that many here have a sense of "personal ownership" in this site & hope &
want it to move forward in a positive manner which gives us all pride, rather than becoming an embarrassment....which it has been over a LOT of posts
over the past couple weeks. That said, is it out of line to ask that you advise the members what's going on? Who is going to be Moderator? Will
Moderating be done according the the posted Board Rules....of some other formula; is that formula secret?

Whose posts did Hose A have to clean up after the most?
Any guesses?

The Book
I think it would be very interesting to read the book that Hose SHOULD write regarding his experiences as a moderator on this board.

I feel partially to blame for my stupid posts regarding my childish rants about some people’s superiority over others. It was stupid and I am sorry
Hose A for any problem I caused you and Baja Nomad. Now Hose A please come back and Moderate us Heathens.

I think the biggest problem for hose A was the report button pushers and the u2uers just drove him nuts.

Nicely written.
Miss HoseA, but don't blame him for quiting.
Edit----leaving original since someone quoted it---but I am guilty of doing what many of us do---don't carefully read our posts to see how they might
sound to someone else.
I intended to say, WE miss HoseA but it ended up sounding like I was calling Longlegs, Miss HoseA---I just left the subject of the
sentence out!

Those most would likely be the people who knew about him leaving weeks ago!
A secret u2u club I guess. Know the password?
Yep,I wondered why the flavor changed. Then when DKs rant was allowed to stand on that terminated thread I knew HoseA either had a stroke or wasn't
watching his flock.
For what it's worth, he was the best mod here from the standpoint of being neutral. Of course people constantly complaining can drive anyone nuts!
