Sunday Brunch Buffet at Ruben's w/Belly Dancers

Today was sunny, bright and warm with a light breeze. The roof terrace at Ruben's was very comfortable due to the wind shields.

The food was, as usual, outstanding. Made-to-order omelettes, pancakes and waffles, as well as prime rib, bacon and sausage, ceviche, chicken breasts, machaca, chiles rellenos. two different kinds of chilaquiles (red & green) with rice and beans. There was menudo and pozole soup, as well as a prepared-to-order tostada/sope station.

Desserts are made in-house, today's selection included banana cake, chocolate cake, cheese cake and flan.

Champagne and Mimosas are included and the the price is about U.S.$12.95.

Oh! Did I forget to mention the live entertainment? Yes, we were entertained by a very lively belly dance troupe.

(NOTE: All edits are my attempts to clean up any misspellings. My third grade english teacher is still looking over my shoulder.)

Okay, I'll bite. Where is Rueben's? The only one I'm aware of was in San Felipe but I haven't been there (or San Felipe) in 20 years. He wasn't serving brunch back then.

Oops,Sorry - Ruben's is Located Rosarito South

About seven miles (just guessing) south of the Rosarito Beach Hotel on the Old (Free) road, across the street from the Las Gaviotas cmunity.

The restaurant is on the second floor above the White Horse grocery store.

I will post the address, phone number and email info when I can dig the scribbled ((drool stained) notes out of my purse.

Believe me, a good time was had by all!

I second the endorsment. We have had breakfast there before, but not the buffet. May be worth a trip north on a Sunday

Yes, Free Flowing Champagne and Mimosas

And really good fruit and house made desserts - cakes, pies, cheesecake. The selection changes frequently. Last Sunday there was a delicious banana cake. There are usually about six different cakes and pies.

Bajaeng, Thanks for Trying Ruben's

We didn't know that the Calafia Hotel had a Sunday brunch buffet, but, based on your recommedation, we will visit it in the near future.
