Cross at Tecate?
Heading west on I-8 what exit is it to the border crossing at Tecate?

George, the rest stop near Pine Valley (past Jacumba) is the exit I have taken to get over to Campo and Tecate coming up from El Centro once... Please
use MapQuest or any map program to see that area and print it out.

The rest stop is Buckman Springs, from there head south to Hwy. 94... you could exit I-8 sooned onto Hwy. 94, at Boulavard, but that is a slow,
country road.

You can also take the road straight south from the Acorn Casino, which seems to be about the same distance as the other road.

shortest route is to exit at HWY 94 off of I8. turn left and then right (follow signs to Campo- you have to bear left a couple times). HWY 94 is a 2
lane twisty road but nice. more and more trucks on it. The alternative is to go to Buckman Springs or La Posta rd etc. But this is a longer route
(20 miles).

Jacumba Hot Springs and Spa
At least one and maybe two or three nights I spend in Jacumba and soak my cares away .... before crossing the border at Tecate .... seems to make it a
very smoooth experience

Just a suggestion, but if you are on the I-8 all the way from Florida, you can get into Mexico sooner at Mexicali and then take Mex 2 to Tecate. From
the I-8 get on the 111 south to Calexico/Mexicali. It is only about 7 miles to the border from the interchange.

Here is what you need to even the Score with me.:
When you depart Fla. and get close to Texas you take the road north to Ft. Worth then Hwy 287 to the Texas Panhandle and stop for at least one Night
at Rancho Sonrisa. Debroah can help Virginia with the Horses, you can rest for the next leg of your Trip South to Hwy 10 and on to Tucson.
Now at Tucson I would strongly suggest that you go South, cross at Nogales on to Guyamus and take the ferry across to Sta Rosaillia. Then it is only a
short ride Home.
You will save enough in Fuel to pay for your trip across on the Ferry. It is a Fun Trip and you could go to a very special Place called the Posada
where you will see a One of a Kind Wooden Mural on a Saloon Wall that you will never Forget. I met Lisa Minella there one day while she was on
Location for the Movie on Rum Running during Probatition.
Slow down and enjoy Life. And at least come by to see us in the Panhandle, the fish will still be there.

might do Mexicali, The wonders of Hwy 1, we're quite familiar with. Have trailered boats and travel trailers up to 30 ft numerous times, nothing new
there.
