Best cure for a hangover

I was wondering what all your cures are for a night out with too much beer and too much tequila is...
I usually go for a morning fresh dip in the sea or ocean and a cold ballena after...

Of course, I have only "heard" this works.;D

In Ireland it was said that the cure for a hangover is to bury the ailing person up to the neck in moist river sand. Not sure if beach sand is a satisfactory substitute or not, but be sure to do it on an outgoing tide if you try it.

Another option: Hair of the Dog

* 6 oz Gin
* 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
* 2-3 dashes Tabasco sauce
* slice of chili pepper

I think the world is run by C- students.

Ah the age old question...for me, it depends what got me to that state.
Wine, Tequila, beer, vodka, B&B, rum...they all have their own cures.

Stay with one poison, drink huge glass of water night of indulgence before bed, Vietnamese stores have this drink that is loaded with B vitamins....I always keep some in the fridge.
Try not to remember too much of what you said or to whom. Brush teeth and ask whoever is next to you the next morning to do the same.

You're right. The original question was asking about a cure for a hangover. 'Hair of the Dog' is more of a delaying action.

Hangovers are caused mainly due to dehydration and B vitamin deficiency.

B vitamins (specifically B-12) and lots of water before you goto bed.... then eat something like eggs and potatoes after you wake up. (If it's really bad, water and toast until you can stomach more.)

When I drink straight tequilla I often drink it with a glass of cool ice water on the side with my tequila.. that does two things.. slows my tequila intake down and keeps me hydrated.

Micheladas can make you feel better if you subscribe to the keep drinking routine.

Second (Third, Fourth?) Lots of Ice

Also, big glass of water prior to going to bed, unless some of you Nomads have that "going" problem that the ad on TV talks about.

Next morning, more ice water and a handmade quesadilla or two filled with Oaxaca string cheese and chopped, roasted jalapenos

It's called "Sweating out the Oldies" (Or so I hear.) ;)
