Top things to see or do as a Newbie to TJ.
Hi Everyone!
Well most already know I live here in TJ now, and I must thank the ones who gave me good advice on here... But Now that I am here, I am wondering
what I should do, or see... So I am asking everyone, what things, or places should I see , go etc.. Not really tuoristy, BUT to learn my new city,
and become better aquainted with it, etc...

Are you in Playas as per your original plan?
There is a small shopping mall there right of the highway. I walked around there and it was interestng. Not at all touristy.
Plus if you like sushi there is a place near the Hacienda Del Mar.
The other spots I know about are on La Revo. Touristy but fun.

Go to the art museum - named CECUT.
See an IMAX film at the CECUT.
Look up FDT. That guy is very nice and will also show you around.
Get a beer or two at the Tijuana Beer brewery. Excellent brew!

Yeah , I have already spoken to FDT , he helped me call about my apartment, etc... He is really busy so I thought I would ask a few others that live
here.. He isnt theonly person on the board that lives here and likes it is he???

I know TJ and I've been trying to think of something to post. It just occurred to me that for many TJ residents the "top thing" to do with their free
time is visit San Diego.
Take advantage of being so close to the border. Walk across, perhaps with a bicycle, and hop on the San Diego trolley to a Padres game, Chargers game,
downtown, Old Town, the harbor, or the zoo. If you take a bike you can get off the trolley at Old Town and bike to Mission Bay, Ocean Beach, or
Pacific Beach for the day.
I really can't think of anything interesting to do in Tijuana except the bawdy nightlife, like DENNIS suggested. And he picked a good Social Salon, so
I've heard.

Padres, Chargers, Zoo----all great, but sooooo expensive. Bike riding, of course, is free. For a really nice bike trail, the one from Imperial Beach
to Coronado---
IMHO, one of my favorite places to spend a day is Balboa Park---always things going on on the weekends, lots of museums that are not too expensive,
great theatre which is more expensive, often free outdoor concerts at the Spreckels Organ Pavillion, and just a beautiful place to walk around.
