I dont know about the kids and such. Cant answer the why in august either. It certainly is hot and even hotter while we are in the car waiting for the start with fire suit and helmut on, but once the car gets moving, there is no sense of heat. Once back in the stadium though, I know its hot and I make my traditional bath in the corona beer cooler, then cool off the inners with as much beer as the ole body will hold.

It is a fun race though. Thats what I like about it.

Where does one go to find out more about this race?

The party / car inspection / race suit & helmet is at the marina saturday night (i think, if not friday night) race starts next morning, with partying to follow at augies.

"you live in Phoenix, right? Where'd you spend you adolescence?"

still spending it.
but i grew up earlier in midwest america. stains o' the great plains.
all 4 seasons....cold winter, wet , hot humid summers.

i prefer phx dry heat to humidity. but the monsoons are grinding after a few weeks.

baja SOC side sucks jul - sept. it just sucks.
