Photo trip report - Bahia de Los Angeles Summer Fiesta - Soft Bol - Aug. 08

How we spent our summer vacation - Bahia de Los Angeles Summer Fiesta.

Dern and I spent two months in Baja this summer. I don't know where to begin a trip report, so I thought I would break it down a bit, starting with the fiesta days.

The fiesta is usually held on the first weekend of August, when it's too hot to do anything else. We went to the Carrera de Caballos twice, celebrated with Mia as our town won the soft bol game, as well as cheered for our favorite bulls at the Jaripeo.

We didn't make any of the dances, although we could hear the band playing till almost 4 am, from 5k south of town.

I'll let the photos tell the rest of the story, beginning with the Soft bol game - Bahia de Los Angeles vs. El Rosario :

Bahia's cheering section

The team dugout

Mia's up to bat

Keeping a good eye on their players

The littlest team member

The town Doctor was there in the stands. Which one is Dougie Houser?

Cooling off...

...on a warm morning.

Caught in the act

Bahia ladies won against El Rosario. The winning team!

Time to celebrate and head off to the horse races!

More to follow on another post.
