Don't have any info for you Bajacat, but I can tell you to watchout!! My first born daughter was concieved there, but in one of the (used to be?) private tiled tub rooms. That was in 1968, so the pool was not as it looks in your pic here. The road in was always a challenge back then, and I will always remember the time our Ford 4x4 got hi-centered(big rock) and we just pulled the chairs out of the back, had a coupla cold ones and let the youngsters explore while we laughed and tried to figure out how to get the darn truck off the rock!(Man power did the trick) Fun trip, done many times, many years. Can't wait for your trip report and pics!!

As Sally reported, I can't give you a road condition report either. I can only say that place is wonderful and I hope you and your crew make it all the way in.

The last time we were there, I was talked into joining a group of local ladies in the mud pool. They had me convinced that I'd look years younger if I slathered myself head to toe in the miracle mud that bubbled up from that special spot...it was fun. I don't think I looked younger, I only felt younger for the fun I had.

Good luck,

Wow, those tile tubs have changed! They were old bathtubs, separated by cinderblock walls when I was there last. They look very fancy now.

Nope Bajacat! The tubs were different, large tiles and very old, that I remember. That pic shows newer tile but somehow I doubt that it is "virgin" either!!:saint:;)

Labor Day week end

The road to Scarlos is always fun to drive.it's easy 10 miles from MEX 1.we found people already camping there, alot of local people, not a single American. This is my second trip there we did some exploring un the canyon, very nice,.Prize to get in is $50 pesos for the day $80 pesos for camping per person.

The pool was pleasant
