Un-real estate ads, part two

so...BestMexInvestments' posts...essentially free real estate advertisements...are still on site in the forums (with NO 'report' button), but the original Un-real estate posting objecting to the same has been removed. what's going on?

reality\'s never been of much use out here...

hey isn't there a real estate fourm here? why can't those people place their posts there. also got news for you, several nomads use this forum to plug their businesses and they're not newbies. I personally think its tacky.

I agree with you Pam. Its tacky as hell . Those who do it should not promote their business here and they know who they are.
Pam has a business but does not do it. Good show.

The advice I am about to give you is worth what you are paying for it.

I think we get alot of real info from some of these people.

Shari, Antonio, and the rest do us a service by posting with their information here.

You give nothing of value.

Just because you are a coward and fled Mexico because you didn't want to go to jail you have a sour attitude.

Leave.

What's the problem with people (newbies or not, agents or not) posting real estate in the real estate forum? That's what it's there for. If it's a good deal and a legitimate offer, someone on this board can benefit. If it's a scam it will likely be exposed by someone on this board who knows the person, the area, or something else that informs us.

You can always just skip that forum....

Here is the situation:
If several commercial real estate boards start to post their listings on this board, before long we will have a 10 page header with commercial ads instead of information that is regularly passed around.
If the newbies, commercial or otherwise, wish to post their business name and post a link to their site as their signature; there should not be a problem. This way they can contribute to the BN posts and advertise their enterprise as well.
Example:
Bob and Susan give a link of mulege.org.
Vandenberg gives a link of skymed.com
Bajajudy links to her baja books site
Shari liks to her business at bahiaasuncion.com
And there are many others.

They all contribute to this board regularly, and their wisdom is well accepted. As a thank you for their wisdom, we support their businesses.

Let's not turn this board into a free advertising medium for real (or un-real) estate for everyone in Baja who owns a commercial property selling business and sees this board as a free advertising.

My last input!

Agreed. Personally- I don't mind nomads promoting themselves and their services to other nomads. Isn't that one of benefits of pooling together here?

Shameless promotion of a good thing? A good thing!

I agree and don't understand anyone having objections. Pam SHOULD be advertising and promoting here. How else do I know what's going on?

''Marketing'' is the name of the game -- nothing wrong with a healthy promotion.

As for ''commercial'' endeavors running amok, I don't see it. Cross that bridge then.

Pam get onboad! Shari has the right idea!

my thought is that I don't mix business with pleasure, seriously I am part of the UCR math board and former Amigos de Baja group that wasn't permitted to advertize within posts. Earl and Eric of Amigoes had a separate area where there were fish reports and kept promotions separate from postings. I think that was a good idea which is why I choose not to promote my venture. this is not my board but I would like to see a separation made as just a suggestion. years ago I offfered to pay this site to advertize and was told that there wasn't any room for it or that they hadn't really figured out how to do it yet so that was where it ended.
