Where to get a pet in TJ????

Hi Everyone.. I have lived here over 2 months now, and really would like a small pet... I thought I wanted a cat, (I love cats) but think I would rather have a small dog!

Anyone that knows me, knows that I am on a limited budget so I cant go to the states and buy an exspensive little dog, and the shelters, and rescues wont adopt to me, because I dont live int he states...

So my question is, where in tj cant you buy, or adopt a dog??

I am home all the time, so they would be very well cared for..

Any ideas would be great!

Thanks

Check with FDT----Mrs. FDT not only has dogs, but seems like she ends up with lots of drop-offs. She is a real dog lover and I am sure she can help you.

If you want a pet to cuddle and pamper, hold close and bond with, I suggest Adelitas. Cureing lonliness is their speciality.

Never got the cat.. I mentioned to him that I wanted a cat, he said he knew someone, but we lost contact and thats what happened...

After thinking on it, like I told Fernando, although I would take a cat because Ilove them.. I thought a dog would provide more companionship.. BUT I am an animal lover, so it really doesnt matter...

Adopt a stray puppy. So many malnourished pups wandering the cities and towns, they all need a home. Our last dog was a stray adopted off the street. After you adopt stray, your only costs are getting him/her fixed, and some vaccinations.

I agree... I have been really surprised not to have seen ANY strays in the 2 1/2 months I have lived here. (of course I dont get out much).. BUT I for sure would do that and prefer to save a homeless dog... Anyone know of a area to go in TJ to find strays? In Centro I just dont see them.. I think the Chinese food festival made a huge dent in the stray animal population (terrible thing to say I know)I am a little tacky!

Seriously though anyone seen a stray running around lately I will come and get it! (Small dog)

Yes, There is an Animal Shelter in TJ

I don't know where it is located (I'm sure you can Google and find some info), but they execute the animals by hosing down a concrete floor and then sticking a bare set of live wires into the poor victims.

The TV show, "The Dog Whisperer" recently featured an episode on an American group that comes to the shelter and rescues as many death row dogs as they can for adoption in the U.S.

Do your soul and heart some good and go to the shelter and save some poor little dog that will love you with a fierce devotion be thankful everyday to you for being rescued.

Send me a PM. I have a friend who rehabilitates Cats & Dogs and he lives in the northernmost part of Soler in Tijuana.

People drop animals over his fence, and he cares for them...
