Thunderstorms may hit southern tip today
I just received this email notice from Baja Insider... may be important to some:
Dear Baja Insider Subscriber:
Thursday, September 25, 2008
A large cell of thunderstorms has developed quickly through the day today, south of the tip of Baja California Sur. The system is moving in a WNW
direction, turning to the NW. The cell is stimulated by a tropical wave but is not a tropical cyclone at this time. Residents of the extreme southern
portions of Baja California Sur should prepare for possibility of strong wind and heavy rain in the next 6-12hrs. Further development is possible, we
await the 3PM release from the NHC for additional information..
This system has developed since the 9AM release from the National Hurricane Center and was not even mentioned this morning's forecast. More
information will be posted promptly after the 3PM MDT release from the NHC. The BajaInsider will continually monitor the progress of this system and
post new information on the site as well as issue Insider Updates as required.

Folks down south.!!
This seems to be a fast moving system with heavy rain cells.
Really shows up that way in several satellite views.
The way it's moving, it may reach into central Baja also. Looks big enough.

Thanks for the heads up Natalie Ann. I just put a little more caulking on one of the windows that leak.

looks pretty stormy over the mountains and we heard 3-4 loud rumblings about an hour ago but so far no rain here. neighbor just came back from la Paz
where he said it rained like crazy, said it was big drops like 50 caliber bullets.
I will keep posting from here.
