Looks like all Hell is breaking out in Baja. Last night the subcomander for the Rosarito police was assassinated on his way home by a squad of commandos, and two other TJ police were ambushed and shot up by another group of commandos.

I think el gato was being facetious. It won't see the light of day in Rosarito. They are still celebrating the annoucment of a huge new convention center with shopping mall coming to town. No scaring away of conventioneers wil be tolerated...

It is time for President Calderon to invoke Article 29 of the Mexican Constitution and suspend all rights, establish martial law and curfews. The Mexican Armed Forces need to sweep across Mexico searching every home every rancho every building and under every rock arresting and/or killing the heads of the cartels and their henchmen. Once each state has been cleaned out he can restore the constitution and leave behind a "Clean" Municipal, State and Federal Police force to keep the ground the military has cleaned out

I live in Mexico. Rights are hard enough to come by...Now you want to suspend them? <But not yours, I'd suspect.> ;D

It's time for Americans to stop using illegal drugs. They are the ones who need their rights suspended.

Then I guess the killings will continue. Granted, I do not live in Mexico, but if I did I'd welcome it.

Overwhelming majority involve drug dealers, crooked cops or both. I say let 'em kill, kill, kill... All they want. Doesn't affect me or my behavior, at all. If anything it makes it easier to go places, less crowded now that all the tourists are staying away.

Now, if they start kidnapping/killing expats...

Hey, great site:

"Failure to prosecute adultery in the US led to a ten fold increase in the US murder rate in the 20th Century."

"Upholding adultery laws and outlawing feminism would reduce both incarceration and homicide rates."

"Feminism: an abomination before God."

We have adultery laws in the US?

So, maybe these people in Ensenada were involved in organized adultery.

200 Mexican drug cartel arested in Atlanta last week. It's kind of hard to stop using drug when the cartel delivers them all the way to your house in the USA. Maybe we could agree to just have Mexico cut down on the "home deliveries".

Unfortunately, a lot of those drugs stay in Mex, thats why these guy's are so crazy. I just read a good book, "God's middle finger " by Richard Grant. Not about Baja, but a good look at what Baja could be like if the Narco's take over.

You have got to look at these pictures

There have now been three attacks on police since last night. The cops caught four of the attackers, and from the looks of them, they beat the crap out of a few of them.
