I have a question
We will be traveling to Baja in Dec
We don't really want to go over to San Diego for some tackle at Sqidco
Is there a good place in Nevada or anywhere on the 395 to shop for
Tackle??
A cabellas or Bass-pro maybe ??
Tim.

I like 'Sportsman wharehouse", one in Reno, I go to the one in Medford, OR. to avoid tax but sounds like that may be out of your way,
Too late for mail order?

Bass Pro in Rancho Cucamonga
There is a Bass Pro Shop shop in Rancho Cucamonga Phone # 909 922 5500. It is just off the 215 just before the 10 frwy. They have lots of salt water
gear, its not as cheap as Squidco. I'm sure they have a web site

Timo1, Lots of places to buy fishing gear in Baja. The fish are getting hard to find. Inshore? Sad. Offshore? There's a lot of water out there. You
might find some fish. Good luck.

Is there some hidden message here? Vegas and Reno? Am I reading between the lines? You want to take me to one of those 24 hour chapels and make an
honest woman out of me!!!

I think you will be very lucky to find the kind of tackle you want in any of the stores in Nevada- last time I checked there isn't any oceanfront.
Those stores are great stores but the purchasing managers tend to focus on whats used locally (I used to own a tackle store, thus Castaway) not what
you may use in Baja, they may have some but it will be limited. As much as you don't want to I would still plan a trip to the tackle store in So. Cal.

Any reason why you can order online? I've ordered from Cabelas a number of times.

Does that mean Barb doesn't get to go to one of those Nevada chapels after all? She sounded so hopeful.

There are some tackle and sports stores in Bishop and Lone Pine. That area is HQ for the Eastern Sierra Nevada fishing scene.
