Classic Car Rally tours Baja
Saw these beauties yesterday at Santispac. Lots of great classics from the 30's - 40's - 50's - 60's. The participants are from all over Baja and
mainland Mexico. Touring down Baja to La Paz, with some members driving south to Cabo.
Most of us had cars back in our youth that would be collecter classics today...anybody hold on to theirs? Along with a couple other wrecks, I have a
'38 Chevy 2-door with the rumble seat..plus the 2 shotgun holes in the roof (courtesy of high school buddy Randy). One of these days I hope to repair
both the roof and my ears...

Was this a one day event in Santispac. Or did they stop in various places in Baja?

durrelrobert and tjBill....
I will scour my discs for the Chevy pics, but that's from another world and I may not have any in Baja...will see. I do have some others of notorious
origin that I will post. I also had a vintage (newer back then) Studebaker with the vacuum shift..remember those? The back seat arm rests flipped on
and you could hide a 6-pack beer in each...so I was told.
tjBill..They had stopped in Mulege also and gave everyone a look. Just a brief stop at Santispac and then off they all went to points south. La Paz
being the last scheduled stop. After that, who knows?
...if I were driving I would ferry to Mazatlan from La Paz, drive to Panama, load aboard freighter steaming down Pacific Coast, offload at Santiago,
Chile and find my way back the best way I could. (A few crazy Vulcan/Harley riders did that a bunch of years ago..)

Classic Car Rallye
They showed up in Loreto yesterday, and we had a great display as they cruised the Malecon.
I got to go for a ride in this baby this morning........
