Full Moon Inspiration

Inspired by Bajamigo's full moon over Ensenada...
http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=34609

I offer this almost-full moon over papayas.

Does anyone else have any pix of the moon to share?

Wasnt last night an awesome sight or what I was howling at the moon.

I just had to do it! With the santa ana winds and the red dust and the moon coming over the horizon last night it was amazing here in San diego. Sorry no pics to share....Thanks for sharing...

All I could find was this old thing out of my closet. It was shot back when I was into b/w photography.

Igor and Ken - outstanding images, as always. Real nice to see the black & whites. Thank you.

And Von - thanks for the vivid description. I can almost see your San Diego moon.;D

Those are great. We have had a great moon the last few days, especially very early in the morning. I woke up and looked at it, thought about setting up the camera, got lazy and went back to bed.
Now I am inspired.

Bill Earhard, those colors are outrageous!

And yet they are real and very special to baja visitors. The hills do become that color just before sunset. And so does the water.

Joe..... Yes, there is a half hour or so before sunrise when the colors of Baja from the Sea are sometimes indescribable. And, each month there is a day or two after the full moon when you can catch the nearly full moon setting behind the mountains around sun-up. Here is one taken while trolling north of Mulege. Your old black and white shot is terrific, by the way.

Well done, Bill.... both photos are lovely. I've noticed this about many of your photos - you do beautifully capture the colors of Baja. That morning 'magic hour' - perfect.

Thomas - The feel of your photo is so pleasant, and the rose-colored moon a delight! Thank you ever so much for posting it.

Hey Joe -- Were you by chance standing next to Ansel in New Mexico way back when? ;)

Yes, I noticed he was taking notes furiously as I set up my gear.

Sorry to have mislead some of you. Another attempt at humor that missed the mark, apparently. That's an Ansel Adams image made in the 30's entitled 'Moonlight over Hernandez'.
