BOLA 11/22

SHORT TRIP, HERES THE SCOOP. water temp 72, day air 82. night 58-65. one day of wind the whole trip. good fishing south at barnabys but the seals were tough. yellows and grouper along with alot of triggers. small yellows out by horse head and piojo and lots of bay bass. ran into a pod of orcas out by the big island and they put on a nice show and one of them threw up what looked like maybe a seals intestines. good trip had by all. saw no tourist in town or out fishing, allso no one on the road on the way down.

great pics...that Orca puke is spectacular...never seen THAT before... And did you by anyy chance get any side views of the dorsal are of the orcas so we could identify the pod? How many were there, date, location, behavior, travelling direction...were they feeding on fish or sea lions...? this determines whether they are resident or transient pods...it would be cool to report this sighting.

4baja - terrific report, thanks so much. I too really enjoyed the whale barf. Man do I have to get a life. Could you explain what is going on in #10? I love the angle but can't quite decode what is happening behind the left rod. This is a great set, thanks again.

ken i think thats my buddy flipping phill but not sure. we saw two pods close my and one huge male that kept circleing us. there was one female that had a couple big notches out of her top fin and alot of youngsters. some of the females i believe got nervous and started bumping the bottom of our boats as we happen to be in there feeding area and close to the younger ones. a few turned side ways under the boat to get a good look at us with there big eyes and teeth. it was fun but some of us were a little nervous with such large beast under the boat. what ever it was it threw up the seagulls woudnt touch it and neither did I.
