Paris-Dakar in South America this year

The Paris-Dakar race has been moved to South America this year due to terrorist threats causing the cancelation of last years race. The race starts on Jan 3, 2009.

The Versus channel is showing the Paris/Dakar race from South America this year. The show airs at 12:30 & 3:30 PST + evening now. Versus is on channel 81 on Comacast in the Bay Area. It's fun to watch the moving vans race. Americans Mark Miller, Robbie Gordon and Jonah Street are participating this year.

Muchas gracias pa las noticias!

Thanks for keeping us informed. I can't wait to see how our Baja racers do in Patagonia and in the Andes. This should be very interesting.

Da nada. I really like this site and I find that your and David K's posts are very helpful. Your current avatar is fun to watch. Being in Northern California I don't make it to Baja as much as I'd like.

hola

I happened to be in Buenos Aires when the inauguration kicked off.
I watched all the rigs drive onto the podiums and check in.
It was pretty fun seeing all that motoring nonsense in cosmopolitan city such as BA.
Loud though.
I prefer my hay burners.
