surfer jim, Coyote Bay checking in:

My most recent eyewitness account of snow near our area is from the early 80's...the Tres Virgens north of Sta. Rosalia were snowcapped for a few days.

At Punta Chivato we had ice in the pans every morning for week or so. We fled to Cabo to warm up.

We did have about 2 inches of hail here on the beach in winter of 1974.

I see these events as absolute proof of a global biometeorologic tendency.

Temp right now is 55 degrees.

The storm hit north San Diego County this morning and the local snow level is 3,500'... It is coming from the north and is a cold storm... Expect Baja to get snow if the front moves that far south... my guess is YES!

I tried to put up a link to his bio page...didn't work.
Anyway, type in Ski Baja on the bottom of the membership page and you'll see what Von was referring to.

Seen it many times flocked in snow, this photo is not one of them but it shows the proximity to my house which is about 25 miles south of San Felipe.

I'm heading down this Friday and returning Christmas Eve only to head back down just after Christmas, so, I'll get some shots of the snowy mountain top.

No snow here in the Sierra, not a question of if but when!
Still it only stays a short while. Heres a pic of our ranch mid-feburary. 10cm of the white stuff, gone the next day.
