One might assume Paul Fish would take over with Sal as a consultant, at least for a while. Then sell it to a Mexican promoter. I'm guessing Sal really likes what he does and it gives him all the time off he wants. He only has 5 races a year. Jan., March, June, Sept., and Nov. He has a very good group of people in SCORE. He works mostly with the same outside people at each venue on getting them setup. I'd say that's a pretty good gig for a guy in his 60s or is he 70 yet?

As the race is not going to La Paz in '09 the BCS local clubs/promoters are planning a Baja 1000 in October/09 -- La Paz -- Loreto--maybe San Ignacio ---Cabo San Lucas--It will be a great route without the Northern problems.
