Show us your Baja Christmas Gifts
Now that I am a "full-time part time" Baja resident, my family and/or friends all seem to give me something that is Baja related.......
I got an autographed photo taken from Gemini 9 of the peninsula. Wow!

Damn... wish I could post pictures!! I have a new "used" washing machine It is still sitting in the VW van waiting for some muscles to help
get it moves and plumbed in. Hubby says he might leave it where it is and start a new business... "have washing machine, will travel". I don't
imagine the owners of Cerritos would mind if he set up in their parking lot!!!!!
We could set up a portable clothes line as well!
Anyway... can't wait to get it set up!
Remember, when in Mexico, yes may be no and no may be
maybe!

Ice and beer cooler is the bowl, and tank holds hard liquer, glasses, opener and a few bar snacks.
At least that is how my model is laid out.

Baja related gifts
Excuse Me!!
I was hoping to inspire my "compas" on this board with the beautiful Gene Cernan photo of Baja from space.
It sure went in the toilet fast........

Welcome to Nomads! No one is exempt from hijacking! Posting gifts is, well, kinda personal to many. You know, socks, undies, belts and the like. I
like your gift but socks are really boring to look at.
Oh what the hell! Original Baja cave art afoot!!:

Loretana...that's a nice Baja-related satellite photo gift.
My lab, Cheyenne, sends her congratulations and wishes you a Happy New Year.
She also wants to get in on this and show you her own Christmas gifts. (she's a bit of a Nomad ham and has posted this before, you know..)
Her good stuff:
and perhaps not so good stuff:

Pomp, how'd you teach that lab to read. I taught mine to whisper but it still sounds like "woof"

Shark, you got it wrong. She taught ME to reed..
..now whir werking on speling. Labs are just that much smarter, I suppose.
She is also tutoring a new buddy..

Baja related gifts
Sr. Pompano.......
My Lab Chazz would like to meet Cheyenne for Navidad....she is definately his kind of Babe. He LOVES to go hunting!
He lives in Loreto, and works the beach on the North end of town.....
and Sharksbaja, those sure look like Indigenous Baja Cave Paintings on your calcetines (I love those!!) to me.

Loretana..
Cheyenne took a look at Chazz's picture and bolted out the door. Last seen heading for Loreto. The hussy.
Let me know when she gets there and I will send her bed.
.
Your Chazz is good looking lab and I assume a good retriever.
Cheyenne has been a great hunter since she first went goose hunting with me in Saskatchewan at age 4 months. She's had the time since and has me
well-trained now.
.
.
I still remember those good first days of puppyhood.
Here's some times...

Baja Christmas gift
My best Christmas gift was having a good conversation and Christmas dinner at the Serinadad Hotel in Mulege.
Everyone knows the history of that Baja legend...a haven for Baja pilots and road travelers for many, many years.
I visited with the owner and an old friend, Don Johnson, whom I first met a lifetime ago. We sat and talked for a long time about events and people
we had met here at the Serinadad. We barely scratched the surface. We'll need many more sitdowns to sort out all those characters and good Baja
times.
As I sat there and shared memories with this unique Baja legend, I thought how lucky it was that I came to light here so long ago.
The rest of the evening was spent with the fine fellowship of my Coyote neighbors and a superb traditional Christmas buffet.
Anyway..that was a special Baja Christmas gift for me.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.
