Cheripan - TJ

Just wanted to give a nod to Cheripan in TJ. Was there last week and mi prometida and I had martinis (de manzana y jamaica) and shared a salad Capresse (buffalo mozzarella and tomato), yummy filets with mushroom sauce and two glasses of wine for a whopping $45 U.S.

You didn't try the empanadas? Cheripan is one of our favorite spots to dine out in Tijuana...

Forgot the empanadas! One meat and one spinach or something - equally yummy . . .

If you like Cheripan you might want to also try Fonda Argentina on Blvd Agua Caliente, across from the Grand Hotel.

Another great place to feast on great cuts of beef...

They do a great steak! IMO, not as good as El Viejo Almacen but overall better.

Driven by there many times but haven't tried it - could actually walk there from her place (if walking in TJ was a prudent thing to do). Also La Leņa nearby - I like it but she doesn't . . .

We should plan on meeting with our dates over dinner one night in town and then we can argue which one is better over a good merlot...

I think the Cheripan is one of the best in Tijuana. :)

If you like a chic restaurant with a nice ambience.

The bill for my group came to about $300 pesos per person, including tip.

I recommend the Portabello mushroom steak

Sounds to me like we need to make some plans. I'm game.

I promise to even shower and wear some clean clothes...
