Gettin' stripped in Baja!

I spied this recent pic in DeMinnis' Sportsmobile thread, and I was shocked. $6 Million USD worth of Medical Alert plane stripped within 2 months!!

In November 2008 -- Puerto San Francisquito

This is sad, but the people of Baja need to survive. Very sad, though.

I'm sure that the parts were removed by an authorized salvage person. I'm guessing they may even come back for the fuselage. My original evaluation was that the airplane could be repaired.
But it is possible banditos took all the parts. But it seems as though the insurance company would have someone guard it until it could be properly salvaged.

There weren't any guards anywhere in Puerto San Francisquito.

In El Barril, I spotted a local driving a brand-new, lifted F-250 that was completely tricked out. The guy was hauling broken concrete in the bed, and looked nervous when I looked at him driving this 50-60K F-250 w/USA paper dealer plates.

As I see it, the people in this region are trying to feed their families.

My friends that came in Sat. or Sun. said they saw two flat beds with a dismantled airplane on them heading North.
